To Fate

your kiss
the foreshadow
of death
your words
a knife through my heart
your love
a poison chalice
I drink
deeply, greedily
to fate

Ah, to drink greedily to fate for temptation's fortune. Let me pour more.

  4. Interesting. Although the colours are funereal, the lines have a joy to them that I do not find in the poem. My preference is for the image. Delightful.

  6. Dave King, Thank you kindly for your comments - actually the colour is 'blue'. The joy is in saying to hell with fate.:0)

  8. I've been reluctant to comment because of the intensity of this piece. It presents an interesting mood that I expect has an emotional cost attached. Elicits similar from the viewer.

  9. Daniel, The mood in this piece I would describe as emotionally dangerous and suicidal. A forbidden love perhaps or a one way relationship. I will leave it to the concience of the viewer :) Thank you for your thoughtful comment!
