the dark side lies

where the raven flies

at dusk

and rises at dawn

where dreams are born

from bones and dust

and naught is as it seems

where love and lust

are blurred

and promises slurred

by unwept tears

there secrets hide

defiling the years

like quiescent embryos

they cling to the dark side

while paranoia echoes
