Your Whispers Echo

Between the boundaries
of dreams and nightmares
your whispers echo
drawing me away
from reality
into phantasmic
realms
where truth and lies
walk hand in hand
Your whispers echo
where desire knows
no beginning
no end
Your whispers echo
where love is
but sweet words
on angels wings
Your whispers echo
where lost lovers
paper the walls
with images
and old love letters
Your whispers echo
chanting love spells
in the shadows
of my dreams

  2. What a wondrous walk you have just taken me on. It was just a little after seven this morning that I noted the time reading this and here now and hour and a half later I am commenting. Both words and pic echo you, you, you,.....

  8. How lovely, Rose!
The echo, that magic response from the air, more than an echo in your poem.
    These are my favorite lines:
    Your whispers echo
    where love is
    but sweet words
    on angels wings.

    I feel fear of those
    phantasmic
    realms
    where truth and lies
    walk hand in hand

Terrible idea that of walls papered with old love letters!
    :)

  12. That love letters might paper a wall and keep out the cold, while the basis for that love has itself gone cold, defines the human experience to an extent, I think.

  13. Daniel,
Hmmm, can't argue with that - the human experience yes! :D
