Autumn Spun Wind

is it an angel's breath
against my cheek
warm as a golden ray
or an autumn spun wind
with its soothing caress
that brightens up my day

is it an angel's wing
against my skin
a touch as soft as dew
or an autumn spun wind
with its soothing caress
that makes me think of you

is it an angel's voice
so mellow and sweet
the lilt of a melody
or an autumn spun wind
with its melodious tune
that makes me feel so happy

  2. It's melodious Rose.

"Or an autumn spun wind" - takes me away, great line.

The you of your thinking is a fortunate person to be so written of.

  4. Well Rose, what a splendid name, whether or not it's yours, it's the name I've given to one of my daughters.

Your poem here is resonant and uplifting. I'm here through the unknown gnome and Dave. I'm from Australia. Pleased to meet you.

  5. I don't know exactly what context you had written this poem... but the references of autumn, and the feel, the touch in the air, it all only reminded me of the fact that Durga Pujo is just around the corner! It's a five day annual celebration for us... think of it like five days of christmas for every Bengali in this world!

    Thanks for sharing this...

    Cheers,
