Poetry Without Words

Without words
Without rhyme
A composition
of love poems

Your kisses
warm lapping waves
whispering
fluttering
quivering
upon my skin

Your touch
gentle as the moon
upon the ocean
rippling
ebbing
flowing

Your sighs
wind swept waves
rising
falling
heaving

An undulation
of passion
spiralling
swelling
surging

Soaring
to a crescendo
The climax
of your love poem
Versifying
your love
for me

  1. You are indeed loved if your lover has you versed so and your lover is so loved by such reflective word flow. Hmmm, very nice Rose.

  4. What a wonderfully warm and moving image this poem conjures up for me.
How I wish I could have been loved like this just once in my life!
    Truly beautiful, Rose :)

  5. Ygraine,
Thank you for your lovely comment! To your wish I respond firstly with the following quote by Lafcadio Hearn:
"The time of illusion, then, is the beautiful moment of passion; It represents the artistic zone in which the poet or romance writer ought to be free to do the very best that he can."
Secondly I hope your wish comes true but more than once in your lifetime :D

  6. Lovely words about loving without words.
"Don't tell me you love me, just love me."
I think all of us have experienced those especial moments when we cannot express our feelings with words, or better, when we prefer doing it almost silently.
The Lord speaks silently in flowers, rivers and butterflies: we can see His Love in the whole Nature.
He caresses us with the breeze, kisses us with the rain and embraces us in the middle of a forest.
You have created a very romantic nocturnal seascape to compare the sweetness of human love with waves, oceans, tides..., from kisses, crescendo till the final climax.
You have used the way He expresses His love to express yours.
The three last lines are the perfect end for your poem:
    Versifying
    your love
    for me.

Thanks for sharing this and congratulations if you are loved in this poetic way.
    ;)

  7. The image is a Godsend. Did it come first? I wonder.

The poem and it are a perfect match.
