Naive and childlike
Innocence slumbers
Without duplicity
Without illusion
Without disguise
Innocence sleeps
Behind the charade
Of smoke and mirrors
Sans guile or deception
Innocence lies dormant
Artless
Without the perception
Of light and shade
To confuse and
To complicate
Innocence slumbers
Amidst memories
